Meal on Wheels
Apostles Lutheran is proud to partner with other local churches in a united effort in addressing hunger needs throughout the Brandon community.
A healthy meal is prepared in our large kitchen every Tuesday morning by our cooks and volunteers.
Meals are packaged and prepared for delivery. Volunteers then deliver the meals to designated homes throughout our community.
We are grateful for the 30-40 volunteers that serve on Tuesday mornings to support this ministry!
This is a wonderful volunteer opportunity to benefit others; contact our church office to learn more or simply stop by Theisz Hall on any Tuesday morning from 8:00am-10:30am.
Women’s Night Out
This ministry is a time for women to spend time together, with fewer distractions, while enjoying good food. It is an uplifting time to share stories, have fun and foster relationships, old and new, as women of faith.
It is a joy for women of various ages (single, married, divorced, widowed, mothers) to come together in a relaxed and uplifting setting around a delicious meal.
AMEN (Apostles Men’s Ministry)
The first Saturday of each month at 7:45AM is marked by men meeting in Theisz Hall for a time of learning, discussion and laughter! Good food, too! A-MEN is a time for guys to come together as men of Christ to nurture faith and connect with other guys. There is a designated topic and scripture focus each Saturday that is led by one of the group leaders. No need to prepare to visit AMEN; simply stop by Theisz Hall for a great time with the guys!
Quilting for Lutheran World Relief
Many volunteers gather three times a year for “Caring and Quilting Saturday” to assemble quilts for Lutheran World Relief. There are an array of tasks (tie knots, pin, fold, iron, sew) that engage everyone from individuals with no quilting experience to those experienced quilters who oversee the event.
Our next Quilting Saturday is January 10th, 2026 from 9:00AM-3:00PM! Come for an hour or stay all day! Snacks, drinks and lunch are provided.
Rebecca’s Circle
This outreach ministry meets on scheduled Thursdays (usually 1st, 2nd & 4th Thursdays - check the calendar)from 10:00am-3:00pm in Theisz Hall to assemble quilts for programs at Brandon Regional Hospital, Tampa General Hospital and Lutheran World Relief. Donated material and sheets (used and new) will always be put to good use! No experience needed to be a part of this ministry that is marked by serving and camaraderie. Check the calendar or contact our church office for more information and upcoming dates.
Children's Church meets every Sunday during worship services. Children's Church is for kids ages 3-11 is during both the 8:45 & 10:45 worship services. Ms. Jen and her teachers will come get the children following Children's Time with Pastor Luke. The children will be returned to the Worship Center in time to celebrate communion with their families.
