Christmas Letters

Pastor V celebrated his 30th anniversary of Ordination on June 1st, 2003.  Apostles family showed their appreciation with a Thomas Kincade portrait of a Lighthouse with an inscription from John 8:12 and a gift certificate to his favorite luncheon place, Jesse's.  Honoring the Pastor at all three special services, were Pastor Neal Brown, Synodical Deacons, Ron Beisecker & John Hanson, and the President of the Congregation, Chris Bredbenner who presented the gifts and read a personal letter from Pastor's friend, the Florida-Bahamas Synod Bishop, Edward Beneway.

Vige History

Pastor Vige began his ministry at Apostles on January 1, 2000.  Pastor V, as he is affectionately called, is a pastor who is focused on the congregation and a man who is committed to his family.  He has stated that "it is through my dedication to the ministries of the congregation that I find joy and fulfillment as a pastor, and it is through the shared experiences of love with my family that I find joy and fulfillment as a husband and father".  He and his wife Lynne have two grown children, Timothy Paul (Tim) and Carol Elizabeth (Beth).

Pastor V came to us from Melbourne, Florida where for the previous 21 years he had served at St. Timothy Lutheran Church.  While living in Melbourne he volunteered as Police Chaplain for the Melbourne Police Department from 1983 to 1999.  He was also a mentor and tutor at Dr. W. J. Creel Elementary and Lyndon B. Johnson Jr. High.

Pastor V is a graduate of Newberry College, having earned an AB/Philosophy.  He was ordained on June 1, 1973 following his graduation from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary.  That same month he began serving at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Ft. Walton Beach and remained there until April of 1979 when he began his ministry at St. Timothy.  Additionally he served as a summer camp counselor at Lutheridge from 1967 to 1970.
