When small things get together...big things happen
Apostles has a 10 specific ministries that are featured here. These are the Caring Ministry, Health and Wellness, Managing Ministry, Children and Youth Ministry, Preschool, Proclaiming Ministry, Serving Ministry, Stewardship Ministry, Teaching Ministry and Worshiping Ministry.
Caring & Fellowship Ministry - Tom Rydlewski
Our Caring Ministry seeks to build a network of Christ-centered fellowships within the congregation. The purposes of this ministry are (1) to provide events which unite the congregation in fellowship, and (2) to encourage smaller groups within the congregation, and (3) to foster a sense of community among people of Apostles.
The Caring Ministry encourages all people at Apostles to become a part of a caring spiritual fellowship. Congregational events and outreaches include but are not limited to: A-MEN, Ladies Night Out, Women's Groups, Prayer Chain, Keenagers, Emergency Meals, game nights and dinners, etc.
Children and Youth - Diane Fox & Kevin Smith
The Children and Families Ministry provides Christian programs families with children ages birth through fifth grade. The Youth Ministry provides Christian events and nurturing for Middle & High School students through twelfth grade.
Apostles has chartered Boy Scout Troop 110 for over 25 years and sponsors a very active Cub Scout Pack 110 as well as three Girl Scout troops.
Health and Wellness - John Ionoff
The Health and Wellness Ministry embraces a philosophy that stresses caring for the whole person (body, mind and spirit) and focuses on disease prevention, health maintenance and education strategies. A network of time, talent and gifts is encouraged between the church and community resources.
Some of the activities that fall in these areas are the regularly scheduled blood drives, Apostles Fitness, Healthy Living.
Intentional Hospitality Ministry-
Help develop a welcoming and inviting atmosphere at Apostles.
Managing Ministry - Julio Jimenez
In conjunction with the Parish Administrator, the Managing Minister oversees facilities and grounds including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and improvements; develop and implement a preventative maintenance program.
Preschool Ministry - Diane Fox
Provide a healthy and safe learning environment for 3 & 4 year olds enrolled in Apostles preschool. The preschool has a staff of a director, administrator, teachers and an aide
Proclaiming Ministry - Glenna Rahr
The Proclaiming Ministry reaches out to the community through publicity that tells of Apostles' activities and services to the community.
Serving Ministry - Kristen Smith
The Serving Ministry reaches out to meet the needs in our community. Outreach includes but is not limited to: providing ministry to the elderly though the Meals On Wheels program; feeding people that are homeless; supporting ECHO and the Hunger Free Mission; maintaining a food pantry, "Living Christ's Love, at Apostles; and the Jesse Tree project.
Stewardship Ministry - Janet Wedlock
The Stewardship Ministry encourages the congregation to be good stewards of the gifts that God has given us to help make the vision for Apostles become a reality. This includes time, talents and treasures.
Worshiping Ministry -
The Worshiping Ministry assists the Pastor in bringing meaningful worship services to the congregation, and decorating for special services.
