Fall Newsletter: The fall foundations newsletter is on it's way to thousands of homes, but you don't have to wait to take a look at it. Go to www.elca.org/lmm, click "resources" and click on the fall issue. See the next steps we are taking with ministry with/to young men. Read how through one young man we are assisting the Lutheran Men in Guyana in developing their ministry. Learn how one congregation is reaching men in new and imaginative ways. Foundations is sent to everyone who shares a contribution with Lutheran Men in Mission. Men's Ministry Leader Guide On-line: The Men's Ministry Leaders Guide (the same one you find
in the Master Builders Bible for Men) is now available on-line. This
guide will walk you and your leadership team through every step of
developing an effective men's ministry. Just go to
www.elca.org/lmm and click on "Resources" and go to "Men's
Ministry Leaders Guide".
Make a
Right onto Believeth Blvd. Keep straight and go through the Green
Light which is Jesus Christ. There,
you must turn onto the Bridge of Faith, which is over troubled water.
When you get off the bridge, make a Right turn and Keep Straight.
You are on the King's Highway - Heaven-bound. Keep
going for three miles: One for the Father, One for the Son, and One for
the Holy Ghost. Then exit
off onto Grace Blvd. From there, make a Right turn on Gospel Lane.
Keep Straight and then make another Right on Prayer Road. As you go on
your way, Yield Not to the traffic on Temptation Ave. Also,
avoid SIN STREET because it is a DEAD END. Pass up
Envy Drive, and Hate Avenue. Also, pass Hypocrisy Street,
Gossiping Lane, and Backbiting Blvd. However,
you have to go down Long-suffering Lane, Persecution Blvd. and Trials
and Tribulations Ave. But that's all right,
because VICTORY Street is straight ahead!

A-MEN INFOMen of Prayer: If you would like to be added to the weekly Men of Prayer list, and join men across the country who are praying for this ministry and for spiritual revival/renewal among men let me know at dhaugen@elca.org. Apostles Village Groundbreaking May, 2008
Dear Brothers: Worshiping God
The kingdom of Got is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Romans 14:17
Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 1 John 3:1 Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. Hebrews 12:2-3 Give God Your BestGod paid a high price for you and me. We cost Him the life of His Son. Not only that but He has entrusted us with the stewardship of His kingdom. He has given us the privilege of ruling with Him in His kingdom. Are we going to turn around and give God sloppy work, our leftover time, talents and treasure? Are we going to give the school district our best teaching efforts then throw something together on Saturday night to teach the kids at Sunday School? Are we going to spend thousands of dollars on our houses and cars and clothes and then toss a little tip toward God?… The Bible says whatever you get in time talents and treasure; make sure you give God His portion first. Because if you don’t, you won’t have any left over later.
Tony Evans, What a Way to Live Pray for the leadership of the Church and for the entire congregation to serve in the name of the Lord Jesus. Pray for the leaders of our country, for wisdom and compassion, unity and peace. Get involved, Ask where you can help in the church; Teaching, Sound/PA Assistant, Adult Bible Study, Ushering, Greeter, Lector, Be a Mentor for a Confirmand. Make serving a family affair. Be active in your church to enjoy your worship of God. Ask where you can help and participate, not just sit and watch. Make a difference, reach out, be a Disciple for Christ! Reach out and bring the community to church, God’s Blessing and Love, Brother Salty Paul
